alphabetology: author
Ginny Priest believes children benefit
greatly from varied experiences from
museums to mud pies. She created
Alphabetology to assist parents and
educators in making simple
childhood joys powerful teaching
moments. Ginny believes there is a
strong connection between the skills
children enter school with and their
academic success throughout
elementary school.
Ginny is a credentialed teacher and
the mother of three young children.
Her background in education
includes experience teaching in
fourth grade, second grade,
kindergarten, and special education.
She currently teaches Adult
Education while raising two sons and
a daughter. Ginny loves playing
outside with her children and going
on hikes. She encourages parents
to slow down and play in the dirt.
Ginny is president of the local
children’s group at church, involved
in Cub Scouts, local youth sports,
and is captain of the Pirates and
Princesses Play Group.
